Something BIG is coming!

I made a firm resolve to write more posts in 2017 and so far i don't think am doing badly. How far have you gone with your new year's resolution? Are you keeping up with them or have they gone into the files of "Abandoned promises"?.
Yesterday I learnt a valuable lesson that unity is strength. We can achieve a lot when we come together and speak in one voice against oppression, intimidation and neglect. Am so proud of the strong and courageous people I work with.
Am presently working on a new project to be unveiled very soon.Am seriously pinching myself to be still and not let the cat out of the bag . Its exciting, educating, fun and will keep you glued to your screen. Oops! Did I just spill?
OK that's a clue.
You don't want to miss out on it I assure you.
Skater dresses are my " thing" I love how they make you look all cute and" princessy" i paired this with my  black heels and black bag and of course a statement neck piece. This is perfect for work unless you work in the hospital then you might need to have a pair of flats in your bag as well.

5 smart moves for a more productive day for champions

Goodmorning Sunshine, are you happy to be alive today? Of course you are!
How was your night? Short? I can totally relate.
Mondays are usually a drag especially if like me you are still wondering how the weekend went by so fast its almost as though you close your eyes and open them and bam! Its Monday
Often times I wake up and ask myself why am I not the CEO of a billion dollar company so I can take a holiday or stay in bed whenever I wanted.
Other times I just pray to win a billion dollar Lottery so I can be my own boss( you do too... dnt lie) until my "every30mins" alarm rings and jolts me back to reality meaning I have to be up and about because......well, bills have to be paid. How do i still manage to make the best of my day despite these? simple!

1.Morning prayer
FirstGone are those days when I woukd give the excuse that there was no time, but I have time to have my bath right? Its always better when you commit your day in God's hands and ask for grace to sustain you. I always feel better and more confident after this

2.plan your day
I expect that you have a rough sketch of what your day should look like. What you plan to achieve for that day but its always better and more realistic when you have this written down say in your organiser or a piece of paper you are sure not to loose
With the time you want each task done written down too ,so there is no stone left unturned

3.A light exercise
This will warm you up and the endogenous morphines released in the course of this make you happier and ready to conquer. And of course keeps you fit. It takes only 5-10mins for this

4.A light breakfast
Ever since people started fainting at work due to hypoglycaemia, it has become a necessity for me to have breakfast before dashing out.How can you be productive or concentrate when your brain is starved of glucose. Even when you are working to loose weight, studies have shown that skipping breakfast only makes it worse. Even if you are quarrelling with any form of carbs, you can opt for healthy glass of smoothies like Here

5.Ready to go
Have your bath, get dressed put your things together, grab your bag or suitcase as the case may be and go be great.

What are you toasting to?

Hi guys ! I hope your day is going better than mine. I have been up on my feet all day moving from one end of the hospital to another and my feet really hurts.
I envy all of you who wear cute heels and work in an airconditioned office with a view and fancy desk .
you are living my dream!
But I can't complain knowing what I went through to land this job, you can read all about it Here and Here and also my first week experience Here
Consoling someone when they are grieving is not exactly my strong suit because am ridiculously emotional. The most insane things drive me to tears.
Worst still is a mother grieving the death of a 3 days old baby after 9 whole months and all the drama that comes with labour.
What a tragedy!
But God knows best and we mere mortals cannot question God.
On the flip side my registrar said I eat too much( jokes!)
to be fair he happens to walk in when am eating
Am one of those who like to  pack breakfast to work that's because am a picky eater unless its any of these Here ,Here and Here  because i eat like a princess (takes me almost an hour to finish eating)
I always squeeze out time to eat no matter what.
I cannot come and collapse because of hunger
I only wish it was true because while others are starving to loose weight I force myself to eat to gain weight ( I don't fancy being skinny at all) can't have the world thinking you are anorexic or suffering.
Close of work is happy time for me. I can come back to the comfort of my bed and sleep all I want.
Phew!!!!!!
All is well that ends well,am grateful for today and for you my awesome blog lovers
Raise up your hypothetical glass of the most expensive champagne and let's make a toast to friendship, goodlife and of course more money in the bank. Cheers!!!!

For the love of jumpsuits

hey huns, it rained today for the first time since this year,i guess I can now officially say the rainy season has arrived.
So guys am adding a brand new segment to the mix just because variety is the spice of life and fashion is a huge part of who I am. My diary will not be complete without it.
My style is comfort, chic and classy.
Fashion doesnt have to be uncomfortable or defined. Its a form of  expressing yourself, and having fun at the same time.
How cool are jumpsuits?
They have always being my go to outfit, never goes out of style for me. I love how versatile and easy to style they are and they are suitable for all body types.
I picked out this number while shopping for a wedding  about a year  ago. I wanted something beautiful, sexy and yet decent and when i saw this beauty it was love at first sight.
I love how it hugs me in the right places and the cutouts gives this really sexy and chic vibe that I absolutely adore. I paired it with chain strap red heels  and a red clutch to make it pop. This is a perfect look for a wedding guest and a party.
Have a beautiful and blessed day ahead dear.

#Life lately Ep5 my experience with caesarean section

There is nothing as beautiful and heart melting as witnessing the birth of a baby. Its a miracle. If you are still in doubt of the existence of God you would have a rethink after witnessing this.

What I find most fascinating is caesarean section.

Let me share with you one experience I had  with this beautiful couple the other day.

Last week we had a case of multiple gestation with placenta previa . she was scheduled for an elective caesarean section.
On the day of the surgery my colleague had cross checked her surgery list to make sure she had all that was needed for the surgery, blood was also made available in case of emergency
I had been instructed to go and get the patient form the ward
Keep in mind that this is a fast procedure but any kind of surgery is scary for most people.
She was prepped and as she was being moved to the theatre the husband carried her things and walked behind us

"Pls I want to talk to my husband "

she said just before we got to the entrance of the theatre.
We had to stop and grant her request

Call prof X tell him we are going into the theatre
Call my mum, make sure.......
Are you crying?

We turned to look at husband, his eyes were red with tears running down his cheeks
 He couldn't hold it anymore.
They had only been married for a year and this was the first pregnancy. He was obviously scared.
Looking at him I saw a man who was in love and scared of loosing the one he loves.
She spoke in Igbo and said

Are you helping me by crying? What do you want me to do if you are crying.

For the next 10 minutes everybody's attention was on the man encouraging him that all will be well.

You have two of the best consultant obstetricians on your wife's case you have nothing to worry about

We got to the theatre and he could be seen sitting quietly at a corner while an eldely woman sat by his side praying.
The operation was veryfast and  30minutes after she was delivered of 2 beautiful healthy looking male children. When I passed the corridor to get oxytocin from the pharmacy i saw a nurse with him who already broke the news to them he was so happy  the woman by him was ecstatic she started singing and praising God she turned to the man and said in igbo

I said it! I had a feeling  she  was goung to havre twins!
You are now papa ejima
Chukwudaalu!!!!

He was so grateful . He asked to see his wife and was told to wait a while.
Doctor thank you very much, nurse thank you very much he was practically thanking everybody passing by.

What I learnt from this is Make sure you marry a man who really loves you and will be there for you.

BOOK REVIEW: How to get from where you are to where you want to be

If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect  yourself from what you truly want and all that is left ia a compromise.-jack Canfield.

I picked up this book from a book stand at work after trying to make up my mind on which book to buy from a variety of them. What captured my attention was the title "How to get from where you are to where you want to be".
I don't know anyone who is satisfied with where they are, as humans we want to be better ,we want to improve.
Now how can you do that if you don't have knowledge.
Aside from my medical books and of course the bible I don't read a lot of books. I get bored easily if am not connecting or making meaning out of the message in the book.
But as I picked this up it became almost impossible to drop it. Its inspiring, Educating and worth every penny.
It highlights 25 practicable principles of success with activities at the end of each chapter to help you apply each principle to your life and also how to find what you love to do and make a living out of it. Its a must read for people of all ages.

If you are bored with life, if you don't get up every morning with a burning desire to do things, you don't have enough goals

What you don't know about oge okoye's alleged "dog thievery"

My attention was drawn to a picture of the cutest puppies and the story making headlines is that they belong to a ex American beauty queen kenya moore and that a  certain nollywood actress by the name Oge Okoye took the said picture, posted it on her page claimed ownership of the cuties and even did naming ceremony for them  see picture below

nollywood actress thief ordinary dog picture can you imagine?
Trust Nigerians to weigh in on this without wasting time

First of all why are Nigerians so judgemental? Somebody cannot make a wish again and they will be the first to scream lies! Fake life!
Even if it is,so somebody cannot tell small lie to feel posh  in peace in this recession ni?

What if she was wishing and claiming in faith,Were you not taught to call forth those things that be not, as though they already are?
Ehen?

What if she was rehearsing a script, got so into character that she had to bring some of the drama on Instagram or haven't you heard acting is intoxicating?
What if her account was hacked?
What if she just joking?abi someone cannot play with you again?
Whatever be  the case please let's not bully people away from social media. its not that serious.

Choose wisely!

As I began to love myself, I freed myself of anything that is of no good for my health -food, people, things, situations and everything that drew me down and away from myself.
At first i called this attitude healthy egoism today I know it's love of oneself. These were the words of Charlie Chaplin

Self love and the need to accept and appreciate yourself totally, flaws and all is a topic that cannot be over flogged.

with the daily struggles and all that frustrates our efforts and the struggle to pay bills and handle adult things we get lost.
We spend more energy Chasing the "means"to a good life that we dont get to give ourselves time to enjoy the good life we work so hard for.
Its of importance that create time to nurture, compiment and re-energise ourselves.
Your body, mind and self worth need checkup too.you don't have to let yourself break down before you get the required help. Be kind to yourself enough not to overlook this.
Take time out to reflect, understand yourself and handle problems instead of sweeping your feelings under the carpet.

Do more of what makes you happy, you deserve it.
Don't let unpleasant things or situations take precious space and wreck havoc in your life
Your happiness is in your hands, its your decision to make choose wisely.
